The RM2 is a compact HF and V/UHF data modem for long distance standards-based governmental and NGO communications in mobile and marine environments.
The RM2 is designed to operate in conjunction with an external STANAG 5066 ARQ server such as the RC50 Email Communications Suite. Maximum data rate is 9600 bps over a standard 3 kHz HF (SSB) or 96,000 bps over a 24 kHz V/UHF radio link.
RM2 is a hardware solution offering 2G ALE, MS110A and MS110B in a single package. It can also be used as a stand-alone raw data modem and ALE controller.
