LinkAlign-60EBP-10 — PoE Antenna Positioner for E-Band/Microwave Links

Interested in learning more about this product?

Overview

The LinkAlign-60EBP-10 is a Power Over Ethernet (PoE) antenna positioner engineered to automate the pointing and peaking of directional side arm mount antennas. Designed for Microwave (11-29 GHz) and E-Band (30-90 GHz) line-of-sight data links, it continuously corrects for environmental disturbances to maintain high Quality of Service (QoS) without requiring manual realignment.

Technical Summary

  • Frequency Support: Microwave (11-29 GHz) and E-Band (30-90 GHz)
  • Payload Capacity: Up to 100 lbs (45.4 kg)
  • Travel Range: +/-30° in both azimuth and elevation
  • Control Interface: Power Over Ethernet (PoE) with web-based UI
  • Antenna Compatibility: Typically paired with 1-2 ft side arm mount antennas

Operational Use Cases

Optimized for establishing and maintaining high-frequency data links and secure communications. It automatically compensates for tower thermal expansion, wind events, and other environmental conditions to ensure stable connectivity for systems with very narrow beamwidths.

Deployment Environments

Designed for fixed-site infrastructure where environmental factors can degrade link alignment over time. By automatically correcting for structural shifts, it reduces network downtime and the recurring costs associated with manual tower maintenance.

Performance Metrics

  • Azimuth Range: +/-30°
  • Elevation Range: +/-30°
  • Maximum Payload: 100 lbs (45.4 kg)

Setup & Portability

Initial alignment is performed via an intuitive web-based user interface. Once aligned, the onboard software maintains the link automatically based on RSSI thresholds or allows on-demand peaking across the network. Optional GPS heading units and antenna adapter brackets are available upon request.

Compatibility

Compatible with directional antennas operating in the Ku, K, Ka, V, W, and mm-wave frequency bands. The system requires a standard Power Over Ethernet (PoE) network connection for power, control, and remote monitoring.

FAQs

  • Why use directional antennas for secure data links? An omnidirectional antenna broadcasts in all directions, which can increase the risk of signal interception. A directional antenna reduces this exposure and provides more secure communications, though its narrow beamwidth requires stable mounting and precise alignment.
  • How does the positioner maintain alignment after initial setup? The system software automatically maintains the data link based on an RSSI threshold setting. Operators can also trigger peaking on demand from anywhere on the network using the web interface.
  • What payload capacity and range of motion does this positioner support? The positioner accommodates payloads up to 100 lbs (45.4 kg) and provides an adjustment range of +/-30° in both azimuth and elevation axes.
  • Problems we solve: where do we start with incomplete requirements? An incomplete specification can make product selection difficult. Start by sharing the task, operating environment and known constraints with Cyntony so the team can help define what to verify and which options are worth discussing (Our process).
  • Outcomes we deliver: what comes from working through the requirements? The practical outcome is a requirements-led set of product options to evaluate with Cyntony. Confirm performance, compatibility and any service scope for your configuration before selection (Our process).

Video Notes

A demonstration video could show the web-based user interface used for initial setup, followed by a time-lapse or simulation of the positioner actively adjusting to maintain alignment during wind events or tower sway.
