ST-R — Sectioned Antenna Mast

Interested in learning more about this product?

Overview

The ST-R is a 6-meter sectioned antenna mast featuring a three-leg stay base, engineered for the rapid mobile deployment of light directional, omnidirectional, or wire antennas.

Technical Summary

The base mast unit incorporates a specialized three-leg stay constructed from aluminum alloy square tubes. The mast features telescopic support legs crafted from a glass-reinforced polyester composite material. The complete assembly consists of five separate mast sections.

Operational Use Cases

Primarily intended for mobile operations, this mast is utilized for elevating and mounting lightweight antennas in temporary or tactical deployments requiring quick establishment of communication links.

Deployment Environments

Under normal conditions, the mast operates as a free-standing unit on flat or inclined ground without the need for guy ropes or anchors. In extreme conditions involving high winds or hard ground, the tripod legs can be secured using sandbags or optional guying ropes.

Performance Metrics

  • Height: 6 meters
  • Sections: 5
  • Setup Time: 5 minutes
  • Personnel Required: 1 person

Setup & Portability

Engineered for rapid elevation, the mast can be fully erected by one person in five minutes. The entire system packs down into an included handy linen bag for transport and storage.

Compatibility

Designed to support light directional antennas, omnidirectional antennas, or wire antennas. Verify specific mounting interfaces and load ratings prior to integration.

FAQs

  • What types of antennas are suitable for a rapid deployment mast? Tactical masts are typically used to elevate light directional, omnidirectional, or wire antennas. Verify the specific top-section attachment interface matches the intended antenna hardware.
  • How is the mast stabilized on uneven terrain? The ST-R features telescopic support legs that adjust to accommodate inclined ground. Under normal conditions, it operates as a free-standing unit without requiring additional anchors.
  • What stabilization is recommended during high winds? While typically free-standing, tactical masts deployed in extreme conditions require extra anchoring. For the ST-R, the tripod base can be secured using sandbags or optional guying ropes.
  • Problems we solve: how do we choose a mounting or mast solution? Antenna loads, available space and deployment conditions can make mounting selection difficult. Bring those constraints to Cyntony to narrow options and identify load ratings, installation details and manufacturer questions that need confirmation (Our process).
  • Outcomes we deliver: what comes from working through the requirements? The practical outcome is a requirements-led set of product options to evaluate with Cyntony. Confirm performance, compatibility and any service scope for your configuration before selection (Our process).
