AD-27/V150-3512 — Short VHF/UHF Wideband Vehicular Antenna

Posted on January 5, 2019

AD-27/V150-3512 is a low-profile ultra wideband mobile VHF/UHF antenna with frequency range of 30 to 512 MHz at up to 100 W CW for use in heavy duty mobile applications that need wide frequency coverage in one structure.

The AD-18/D wideband antenna is composed of two parts: antenna base and radiating monopole element made of composite materials for outstanding strength and toughness.

This omni-directional monopole wideband antenna covers 30 to 512 MHz frequencies at 100 W CW power handling. A dual feed 30-88 & 225-512 MHz version is also available (AD-27/V150-3512-DF).

Gain for such a short antenna at low VHF is good, from -7 to 2 dB relative to a 1/4 wave monopole at the frequency of interest.

The base is made of aluminum and durable plastic materials, with matching circuitry inside and (optional) active GPS patch antenna. A stainless steel spring absorbs shocks and vibrations, while protecting the antenna against impacts. Four mounting holes are equally spaced on a 4.5" (114.3 mm) circle, complying with the USA and NATO standard.
